Our 1st Home Update

Today was such a fun day!! This morning we went to our 'design appointment' which took 3 hours! We picked out everything! Cabinets, carpet, hardwood, fixtures, brick, colors and so much more but we have it all squared away :) I thought I would love the antique cabinets but once I got there, I hated them. They just weren't as pretty as I thought they would be. I felt the house would be way too bright and Dan and I love dark colors so we decided on the opposite, Dark dark brown cabinets with jamocha granite counters with dark brown hardwood. Of course I had to have my interior decorator mother with me so before any decision, I texted her a picture and asked about pricing (she's a fixer upper pro in the house category). Of course i wish she could have flew in from Florida just to help but that would have been selfish so we had to rely on phones. Now that the choices are picked, we are more excited than ever before!! Let the building begin!!! Yay!!!

Happy Football Saturdays

Saturdays in the Fall season are probably my favorite days of all. Why? Of course because of FOOTBALL. Especially SEC football. There is no where on the earth that takes football to the heart the way the south does. Not sure what it is but something about our team makes us so happy yet can light a fire under us. Professional teams have tried to start up here but for some reason just can't make it.  ANYWAYS, today was one of those days. A day full of laziness, friends, and FOOD FOOD FOOD. Sometimes I feel like I gain 10 pounds in one day! Today we started off the day with wings, cheese dip, chips, and lil snack foods then felt it necessary to order pizza! UGH, we are STUFFED but we ended the day with Alabama beating the socks off Ole Miss (Roll Tide), Auburn beating Florida, South Carolina beating Mississippi State, Georgia beating Vandy, and LSU beating Tennessee. GOOD DAY!! I hope everyone had a wonderful Saturday and a blessed rest of the weekend =)

OUR FIRST HOME

WE HAVE OFFICIALLY PURCHASED OUR FIRST HOME!! We are so excited! Our perfect 3 bedroom 2 bath home will be ready in January (hopefully at the end because its my birthday...hehe). I always thought that purchasing a home and closing asap so we could move into it would be the way to go but we decided to build. This means that I get to pick EVERYTHING!! From where we would like the light switches to go to what kind of floor to put down, its so exciting and I can not WAIT to get started. We will be living in the neighborhood of Chesser Plantation in Chelsea, AL. They will hopefully be able to start the structure in 3 weeks SO I will need some help picking out all the inside stuff. YAY!! Anyways, we will be keeping you posted as we go!

Someone asked me today, 'Are there ever days you just can't stand being around Daniel? Ya know, like you wish he would just get away and shut up?'.
I can honestly say NO that I have never felt that way. 6 years together and many more to go with the person God made just for me :) I think more people should feel that way about someone they plan to spend forever with b4 their big day comes. The world would be a happier place.

Our Baby

Don't worry! No babies coming to the Dempsey family. All of our friends are having enough of those to keep us busy for a while however we do have the sweetest lil boy that has our heart, Jet.

Today I was coming in late from work to open the door and find 2 of the laziest boys on the planet. I walk in and of course I'm greeted with a 'Hey baby!' (which always makes me smile). Jet walks over to me and like a child reaching with their hands saying 'hold me', he reaches up with his paws. As soon as I pick him up, he lays his head on my shoulder. It was so sweet :)

Welcome to my blog! I decided today that we have a lot going on within the next few months. My parents moving, us trying to find a house, busy work season and the holidays SOOOO I thought it 'What would be a great way to keep my friends and family in the loop with everything going on in our lives??'.
